Addon - Digital compass

Simplified Instructions:

If you have just ArmA 2 or have both ArmA 2 and Operation Arrowhead as a combined installation then ...

Create a new folder under the main game folder called: @DC
Create a new folder under @DC called: addons

Extract addons.zip to this folder


 
Create a new folder under the main game folder called: userconfig

Extract DCSettings.zip to this folder


If anyone has just OA installed or has installed OA separate from ArmA 2 then I'm guessing that you will need to do the above for both your A2 and OA install folders. If these instructions need amending then please provide your info.

To tell your game/s to use the DC add the following to your Steam/Desktop startup options:  -mod=@DC
To enable the digital compass in-game press escape and click the DC ON/OFF icon at top left of screen.

can someone explain how to install this onto OA steam version please?

Blunt all you have to do is go in to the game and then multiplayer and mods it should be there just enable the mod it.

I very much enjoyed last Thursday game session and even the being run over by my team mate in the personal Carrier. (forgot his mirrors signal menover training I think) How ever the Digital compass has been mentioned and I have downloaded the file but installing it is very confusing and the steps on the link to the download don't help much at all except confuse me more.

I am running both ArmaII and OA from steam and using windows 7. Anyone know how to get it to work?

P.S. The idiots guide would be best.....

I've enabled in options but I still CTD as soon as I click it
(I may well start using this as a quick quit method )

the error message I get is : include file usercofig\DCSettings.hpp not found
