Airport Transport Help - post here

vvAs we have quite a few people coming in to the UK via airports I thought it would help somewhat to collate a list of who is arriving when and where so that people can volunteer to help out other dMw members with the transportation requirements.

Please post here is you need help with transport from an airport to the LAN (or back again).  When transport has been offered by another LAN/Meet attendee we'll add the details here so that we can see who has transport and who still needs to be helped out.

If you are coming to the LAN or the Meet and passing within an hour of these airports, please consider helping out a fellow dMw member and posting here to offer them a lift!

In the mean time I am looking into another option which might help the STN group.  No promises, but we'll see what we can do.

Folks, can we get some volunteering sorted ASAP for picking up please?  If you're passing anywhere close then shout up and be generous with your time please!

I might be able to take a few people down to Stansted on Sunday, depending on flight times etc.

You can also get a train direct from Stansted Airport to March (and vice versa). It's a 1 hour trip, and the ticket is about £15. Picking up from March station shouldn't be a problem (just let us know in advance when you're arriving though, so we know when we can hit the bar!).

I'm arriving at Stansted at 10:55 on Friday and leaving from Stansted at 18:15 on Sunday

I can help with drop-offs back to Stansted but am struggling with the pick-ups.

We have a backup plan in place to get all those above to Stansted on Sunday if lifts are not forthcoming from members, so let's focus on how we can pick people up initially please.

As another backup, I'll cover the Thurs & Fri STN pickups, but I'd rather not end up spending the entire two days as a taxi service so please let's see some other volunteers.

Hey guys, i was going to go cross country and steer well clear of the M-ways but recon i'll chance them for fellow dMw.

I can pick up Vargen from Heathrow and depending on how much baggage they have Tanales, DuVel & Lumi on the way past Stansted.

I can drop the guys back to Stansted on Sunday but can't help Vargen with Gatwick i'm afraid.

Not sure if I'm coming up Thursday lunchtime or Friday morning. Driving up the A1 from London and could drop people off Sunday afternoon although I usually have lunch before I leave so wouldn't hit Heathrow much before 4-5pm
