Trip to Holland?

Thinking of a possible weekend trip to Holland in July to see Pete and the Dutch Chaps.

Based at Petes place or similar.

This is a work in progress so stay tuned!

Faust is off 11th to 27th July.

So possible dates are 11th to 13th July, 18th to 20th July or 25th to 27th july

Rough itinery would be to go from Gatwick or another London Airport Friday evening arrive then drinks/ catchup.

Saturday socialising and outings organised by dutchies.

Sunday recover have breakfast and have flight back eve Sunday.

Any takers? vote for preferred dates

Sorry, I'm already on holiday for a fortnight in July, a second holiday in the same month would not get past SWMBO! :roflmao:

We're planning a trip to Finland roundabout that time, but I'd tag along if I can squeeze it in. Will keep you posted.

I live around Nijverdal FYI.
My holiday starts around the 18th and then I'll have like 3 weeks off from work and I've got nothing planned so far so nice dates. If needed I can also get the 11th off from work.
I've already got the "Zwarte Cross" planned on the 26th of July but if really needed I can skip it (it's a really large festival with beer, music, motorcycles: http://www.zwartecross.nl/EN).
Until the 20th there's also a place called "Budde Beach" around my place where DA had a pretty good time I think.
I've already written some other stuff down on what to do around my place.

It seems the middle weekend is the popular choice so far. The last one doesn't really work for me either. I'm an old man, I need time to recover before work. A sort of post-vacation vacation :p

[/FONT]This sorta eliminates the first weekend. Can't have all the fun we want to have if Pete has to worry about making it to work on monday. I think TL, Scott and Chaos struggled a fair bit after their nordic adventure :p

So unless you are also going there, count me out :)

Preffered is 2nd week of july, though this depends on the moods of the baby :)

Scott: And you have taken into account that the train from Amsterdam to Nijverdal takes right around two hours depending on how many transfers you need? Or that it's 150km by car, making that close to a two hour journey as well?
