Once the server is up I'll do some preparations for a massive project I have planned for the large lake.  The current mini-safehouse at the small lake will also be made larger to accommodate a larger number of spawn points.

If it goes to plan, the massive project should be an absolute safe zone from any zombies/hordes.

Dev Blog  Really interesting stuff.

Alpha 10 is at the doors.  Apparently, we might have to start from scratch.  A shame really, I gathered around 50 pieces of meat yesterday.  Again, do not use the venison as that will be used to make a high quality food item, once we have a stable potatoe cycle (I wonder why it's marking potatoe wrong.. as far as I'm aware potato is wrong..).

I was on yesterday, did quite a bit of stuff.  Can craft shotguns, pistols, hunting rifles.  Can create ammo, but we need potassium nitrate.  Also managed to find a beaker, which is used to make grain alcohol, then use that to make medkits (blood + alc + bandage), or fuel cans.  Alcohol takes a very long time to distill.

Encountered a farming bug, which destroyed a number of crops; the fertile soil was invaded by grass respawn and stuff died.  Tried out a new way to farm; we'll see how it works.  Corn on top (growing), and coffee, blueberry, and potatoes on the bottom (no idea if they're growing yet).  When looting corn, only loot the top part, that leaves the plant alive, which continues to make corn.  Never loot the bottom piece which gives 1 corn.

Changed the location of the inner farming door, which led to some beds falling on my head and breaking up; when you log in check if you still have a bed, if not craft a sleeping bag and place it.

Yeah its hazard of the job, wipe per release. How long since the previous release? Do we have good time to rebuild before the next wipe?

Also does the work end after 10 days or something?

Apparently, updates after A10 shouldn't need wipes; let's hope so anyway.  I think A9 was a month ago or something like that.

We should have enough time, however with A10, the difficulty will shoot up.  Cooking, forging, chopping trees, hunting will all increase area heat, do too much and you've got a horde in that area.  They reduced the amount of noise Z footsteps do, so harder to hear them.  They're also more intelligent now, and if they can't get to you, they will wait until you come out.

Looting is also harder, homes receive locks so it's not just open a door anymore.
