Server is 'Dead Men Walking' but, as stated, doesn't appear in the in-game server browser.

A few of us played last night and, boy, it's tough as nails. Just trying to meet up on the map resulted in multiple deaths. But we're now together and setting up base camp and looking forward to the challenge ahead.

Thanks Oldie.

Are we playing a random generated map?

Yes. The map is seeded by the map name - I've called ours dMw1 so it will be different to, for example, a map named dMw2.

yay.

Really good fun and really enjoying it so far. Thankfully found a cooking pot and a forge and am fortifying the house it's in so I'll mark it on the map. It's 5 mins run from the Army base.

Lesson for the day: If you find an engram learn it then and there rather than losing it when you die

Played for an hour and have myself a lonely house In a desert, I have more gun parts then what I ever need and sadly can't do anything with them. When you lot are I lim will try to find out where you are but for now I will stay in this house I have fortified a bit. A really hard game but loads of fun

I'll be back on tonight for sure, was a great laugh last night

Hi Folks,

Toby, Pen and I survived our first 7 Day Horde last night. I foolishly went to Toby's house and it would appear I'm a horde magnet as at 11pm, the horde descended on us in full force. We have dozens of z'd including the higher level ones and the Feral Zombie too. Toby's stuff and house was destroyed and we barely made it out alive.

The downside is that tonight Pen and I discovered 3 sides  of the map...

I've asked OB to look at increasing the server size four fold to give us ample space to explore. Unfortunately.. This will likely reset our skills and experience back to level 1.

Apologies but as we've only just got going, the impact shouldn't be too big compared to a week from now when we've built bases etc.

Please bear with us whilst we get the config right.

Thanks!

Chaosphere

No problem from my end. Like you said Ninj it is better to get everything server-side sorted now before we build anything... ambitious.

And good work surviving the horde!

no worries at all ninja, at the end of the day your trying to make the experience better and on a game like this a bigger map means more exploring and more fun. look forward to playing this more when the server is fully up and running :)

I came into this world with nothing,
through careful management I\'ve got most of it left.

To be completely honest ... I don't think its got legs.

IMHO the journey, as per Ark, is fun but there's no real destination.

Same can be said for most survival games. The question is does the journey give enough enjoyment to justify the cost of admission.. and for me the answer here is a yes :)
