I got a C4 Thruster first of all and crashed into the station wall! Beware the lurch forward on the Cobra.

It's now kitted out with B4 - Power Plant, FSD, Shield Generator, A3 - Power Distributor, C5 Thrusters, 40 cargo units.

2 x E2 Multi-cannons (epic damage) and 1 x E1 Beam Lasers, not gimb. I think Bean Laser Turrets might be nice on the class 2 slots and put the multi cannons in the 1s.

Need Reinforced Alloys, the hull takes a pounding when the shields are down.

After my Monday night's Eagle-ramming disaster (with a full cargo hold) last night I made around 80,0000CR in an hour and a half with a mix of missions a trade runs, so a better night all told.

Looking to make a million CR for upgrades on my Cobra. I'm not going to chase a Lakon-6 unless we go past the 16th without being wiped (or at least keeping our credits).

Just going to make my Cobra a solid all-rounder then have some fun.

B level Cobra parts are a cool half mill! As are 1.6 mill CR. Turret weapons are similar price from B to A but Cs are around 200K for turrets and well below 100K for non turret beam lasers which incidentally only seem to go to level E and no lower.

The BETA is over (since November 22nd). You can purchase the game on pre-order which entitles you to download the game and play the tutorials until launch on December 16th.

This gives you a chance to try combat, configure your PC and get a taster, but for full access you missed the boat for now.

Pre-ordering gives you a reduced price, some digital content (artwork and PDF manuals), ship paint-jobs, plus a second ship in-game which can be sold for in-game currency to spend on other in-game assets.

Whether the £5 saving, early crack at the tutorials and the extra ship is worth jumping the gun for, is entirely down to personal preference.

I paid £30 to the Kickstarter in 2012 and the extra £15 to get the BETA and I've already clocked more hours on Elite than I did on BF4 which cost considerably more!

Ok thanks for your reply i will wait i think maybe an early chrimbo prezzie:D

Nice one Bert,  took me a few seconds :D
I admire the thought that has gone into the naming of the stations. Great scientists, explorers etc.,
and then some humour, a Rugby reference (Gareth Edwards Spaceport)
I've got into the habit of noting the names and having a swift wiki for the ones I dont recognise.
Last one yesterday was FINCKE who I discovered was either Ingo, German mathematician 1561-1656 or Michael US Astronaut b.1967
BTW never go there, its about 195000ls from system entry point.

Started seeing green blobs on the radar last night, so it appears I have made some friends in our little trade routes.

Which System(s)?

Check your status with the factions, you'll be Friendly now! Then you get Aliied and after that ? Wither way they supposedly give you better missions and they will help you in a fight!

Ooh, there's an Orca for sale.

2 minutes in and I can see they have changed the target holograms, bounties are now running totals per faction instead of each kill. Some slight sound and graphic changes as well.
