For the January FlyIn I have decided to buy a B200. And because I have strong connections to that plane I would like a skin for it if possible.

Between 1988 and 1995 I worked in a company called Mørefly AS, this was not an airline, but they had lots of helicopters AS350's and Bell 205s and Beech B200's. The company was merged with Lufttransport in 95/96.

During some of those years we had an office in Bergen (main office was Ã...lesund) and almost every friday they had trips to Aberdeen from Bergen with crews for the oil business. They usually flew empty from Ã...lesund to Bergen and  I often got a ride with them down to Bergen and back. When the copilots seat was empty, (copilot join in Bergen) I got to control it a few times too. (low pass on Bringeland on the way back was the norm... :-))

So if there is someone willing to make a skin for me (Carenado B200) I would be very happy. I could pay (not too much) via paypal if needed.

On this page there is a picture of some of the planes (all LN-MO(X)). The paint I'm after is the one that is on LN-MOE. Beige backround, with light/dark brown and orange stripes. LN-MOD is the same paint from the side but with bright white background and Lufttransport Logo (after the merge) After a while the brown colors disapeared, the tail lines too. And they got a bigger LT logo in the tail. LN-MOH

I really like that colour scheme, very cool! I only know of Doorman who did skin, for the 337 which he shared with me and they are fantastic. My favorites.

i have thought about designing skins for my own aircraft but never got round to it

if you look here there is a guide on how to do it, but remember to back up your orginals

if the aircraft is a flight 1 super king b200 then your in luck as they do there own repaint kit, it is at the bottom of the page linked below, i think it needs photoshop though..maybe

QuoteThe paint kit provided has been designed for ease of use to recreate your favorite livery for the Flight1 King Air B200. Contained within the included Photoshop .psd are all of the nessecary layers, and, instructions for cutting the paint kit into the separate textures. Also included are separate layers for the alpha channels and specular maps

Thanks guys. I will check out those links.

Yes I know Doorman does it. He did all my LFS cars too. Not sure how busy he is though.
I got to test the plane today, it is the Carenado version. (Less glass than Flight1)

It looks like one of the designs included is the same design as the one I need, but other colors. I will try to recolor that one and see how that works out.

I really need to post this here,

Look what happened!

Doorman made this beautiful repaint for Flight 1's King Air B200 of LN-MOE with the old Mørefly logos. That guy still knows a thing or two!
Thanks again Ron!

Nice one Ron, you has skillz (I threw the 'z' in there as I know you like kidz speech!) :getmecoat:

It might be nice to have some skins for ourselves, so it might be worth taking a look at the process.

Yeah he is awesome. I did a search for him at the Avsim Library the other day and it turns out that he has made 250 repaints!

Skillz indeed!

Ron's 'BDI Private Investigations' skin for LFS still makes me smile. Top skinner indeed.
