Dead Men Walking's Star Citizen Organisation will be based on a corporate model. We will have a board of directors lead by a CEO. Each Director will have ultimate responsibility for one or more divisions that will be aligned under three broad groupings - Operations, Diplomacy and Communications. Each division will have a Division Head who will report to the Director responsible for their division.

DMW will have a board consisting of 4 directors: Obsydian, OldBloke, Smilodon and Tealeaf. Our CEO will be Smilodon.

The Directors will be assigned divisions as per the following diagram. It should be noted that our Director of Diplomacy (Tealeaf) will also be DMW's representative on the PACT board.

The 7 Divisions will align with the various game-play elements.

Security
Escort duty, search and rescue, infiltration, bounty hunting, boarding parties/ground troops.

Logistics
Personal transport, haulage, trading, information running, refuelling.

Industry
Mining, manufacturing, salvage, engineering (over-clocking).

Science
Exploration, jump point navigation/charting, research.

Diplomacy
Alliance matters (Director), inter-organisational matters (Head).

Human Resources
Recruitment, promotion/demotion, ejection, awards, penalties.

Public Relations
Press releases, consistency of message and rigidly-defined content (web, forum etc.)

These 11 people will form DMW's Star Citizen management team.

This model suits our current membership level but also has scope to adapt as we grow the organisation. In due course we will publish the job descriptions to go along with the roles as defined here.

brilliant table and a nice selection of trust worth people who are in charge of each category, I think you have all made perfect choices from what I know of each of you, and think it's a great idea to use this type of structure :) so well done to you all for that. So after you have picked the other members of the board what happened to the rest of us ?

I'd been interested to know this also.

Looking at the diagram I believe we have two routes, we either join a branch and dedicate our gameplay around that field or we all come under the same umbrella of members and pick a ongoing mission setup by the Head of each Department. I think the second option works better for members that have a rounded fleet with a few different type ships. And the first option works better with members with limited ships that are targeted at a certain role. IE combat, exploration etc

But as I said it would be interesting to see how this develops.

i am with kal-nor on this i have a very diverse range of ships from racing, exploring and mostly combat, if for example i get selected to be a soldier or a security guard does that mean i can only do security and logistics ? i doubt it does but how would we all move  around ? i love the idea of teamwork and will hopefully spend most of the time with you if that's bounty hunting or for example working in kal-nor's starfarer, would i have to change groups or would it not matter at all. i know this group will mostly let us free to do whatever as long as it follows our group rules.

also a quick one what if someone gets given a roles they dont like or after a few mouths they decide trading isn't for them and they want to try something else ? what would happen then? i know these are tedious little questions but its more for future reference incase this does happen. :D

I'm sure there's always an option to move branches RT, it's a game and no one will limit on how you prefer to play. Unless you win the Murry Cup 5 times in a row, and then declare that your bored with racing, you now want to explore. We may need to threaten to shot you... :D

The roles shown are not something Organisation members have to align to. They are organisational management roles and don't restrict anyone into only engaging in one activity. You don't have to be a miner or an explorer, you can do anything you like and do multiple things at the same time i.e. go mining on a Saturday morning and then bounty hunting in the afternoon. Basically dMw isn't going to dictate how you play the game. If you want to spend all your game time working in logistics hauling goods around the Verse then knock yourself out. As and when we engage in group activities then players can take on a role for that one activity. So for Sundays attack on the Dread Pirate Roberts Secret Base you might fly a fighter and I might fly a bomber for example. But the next night we might be doing totally different things.

The only restriction is that you can't be a pirate or do criminal stuff and also be a member of the dMw Organisation. It's one or the other.

This sounds great thanks for clearing that up smilodon.

RogueTaylor

i know dmw are great and like i said wont restrict us along as you follow the rules as smilo just pointed out. so the shian is really to see what people would be mainly doing then, i know there are some that will just trade for the most party and then do a bot of exploring on the side, where as i would enjoy tot try everything in game with others who know how to do it, say i done 15 plus hours of bounty hunting and know what to do and someone who normally does trading wants to try it, we can work together i help him bounty hunt ( how hard can that be ;P ) and then in return i might go off trading with them to get an idea of that./

i like the idea of at the events of having a certain role, for example if your work great in a sabre doing quick strikes on enemies and then getting out of there, then that will be your best ship and what you would probably use in the events to be a lighting fast strike team, but you dont have to fly it maybe one day you decide i want to try a more durable fighter like a vanguard warden that fine. What i am trying to say really is in arma 3 i always play medic its a class i know and i know what to do in the class and how to do it, but i might want to try sniping and that's fine but for me my main role is medic and when we need it  i will fill that role to the best of my abilities. I  doubt this makes sense haha i aint the best with words lol

thanks for clearing it up smilo :)

The DMW board are pleased to announce that we have appointed three more members to the leadership team.

BrotherTobious - Head of Security

Sparko - Head of Logistics

Albert - Head of Industry

The diagram in the OP has been updated to reflect these appointments.

I'm sure you'll join with us in congratulating these three and, like us, thank them immensely for volunteering to help us achieve our SC goals :clap2:

You will notice that we still have vacancies within the leadership structure. A job advert will be posted later today in the Pilot's Lounge :D
