Minecraft xmas 2015 after battle report

Big thanks to all the guys and girls who turned up.

9 brave souls decided to take on the might of the wither tonight and so might say a good time was had by all, but it could have been so different.. Ill explain

We ascended into the dedicated wither slaying room and very quickly discovered that Paddy forgot the soul sand, thanks Lib for sorting that out. The first wither died in a hail of arrows, carrots and puffa fish..it only took about a minute or so..."that was easy" seemed to be the groups thinking, so we patched up the room and started with number 2..

And thats where things started to go a bit pear shaped. For some strange reason the 2nd wither decided that it didn't want to play with our group and decided that a random mob creature was more fun and promptly blasted a hole in the wall and headed towards the millennium falcon..well we managed to get it before it got out of the hill...yes I said  hill,  it was only a couple of blocks from escaping into the world..of which its first place to visit would have been Toby's pride and joy. BTW it also destroyed the ender chest which luckily add9x managed to get the wither skulls out of before it went "poof"

So after instigating  some more repairs the 3rd wither was spawned..and well read the bit for the 2nd wither, again only it made it a little bit closer to freedom

repairs carried out and all innocent mobs within the local area were put to the sword..or carrot

number 4 spawned and it stayed in the middle of the room and was dispatched with some ease, although the ceiling had  at least 100 arrows in it..along with some in most of us

So paddy got his beacons..he just needs to build his palace

Nobody said anything about a shortage of cobblestone.

I have a few double chests filled with that from some.... err... excavations I was doing......  :whistling2:

Which interestingly enough also used up my stash of TNT.

It was great fun to be part of! Thought it went quite successful minus the few little hiccups mentioned.

I was going to make a few stacks of obsidian to help us patch up thje room between fights, but my lovely Obsidian generators no longer work in 1.8. It appears that the process was a known bug that they weren't too bothered about fixing as people found it useful. The bug which caused it was incidentally patched out of the way because of some new way they coded block updates.

So no more infinite obsidian for the time being.

I'll disassemble the machines for safety.
