My brand new GOTY version has arrived and, as mentioned by Albert, it fails to install from the disk (I'm running W10 + anniversary patch).

I'm currently copying the disk to my HDD as it should install from there according to info found on t'net.

Insert Game CD into PC drive
Copy complete contents into a temporary "COD4" folder.
When complete run "setup.exe" from the folder, enter CD key and installation should run smoothly. Only install the game and nothing else. It then runs Direct X installation and you are ready to go from the desktop icon.

out tonight but will get it installed for later. Thanks oldie again for the server and the other thing, did you have to prod the hamsters hard to get it running?

I came into this world with nothing,
through careful management I\'ve got most of it left.

We had the server files backed up (thanks Whitey) so it was relatively painless - open a few ports and kill Punkbuster basically.

Original software box, DVD and key found!   Even more sad, I found a copy of my COD4 profile (with the gun unlocks etc) from 21st June 2008.

Sad, I know...........
