True but a decent watch doesn’t need to have wrist time to appreciate it. I don’t think I’ve ever worn my Rolex Deepsea d-blue but it doesn’t mean I don’t love its beauty.

...and that's probably my favourite Rolex too, love the colours, although the good old Green Submariner with the Green dial is pretty close!

I would wear it to the next lan just for you but promised Toby I’d wear the Batman. Honestly I’m a little disappointed by the contrasting blue to black fade on the d-blue. It a lot more subtle in the flesh than in photos.

I do have the Rolex sub 16610v 50th anniversary with the green bezel and black face. The newer green face green bezel is just a little too green for me. I think it’s the contrasting colour which work so well.

Quote from: main;433157No worries Pen, I used to live in the UK for quite some time. I was when I joined DMW, god time flies :) That would be amazing, I am after the full silver ones GMW-B5000D-1ER, as long as it has the regular international warranty, you know official dealer etc. What are you favorite watches? I also have Seiko Black Monster which I am very keen on and some other Gshocks. But my wishlist is endless oO

Had a long chat with GShock London. As you're finding it's a watch which is selling out as soon as they get them in. They're getting stock in at the end of August but said that unless you're physically at the store then it's next to impossible to get one. I was, apparently, the 15th person this week to phone them about it. It's going to be a challenge I think. Anyway, I like a project so will keep looking for you when back from holiday.

Guys these are great photos and very nice pieces. Thank you for introducing me to the Tudor brand. Also never heard of Alpina, nice looking watches. And those Seiko and Squale Atmos? Bloody hell, I need to eat guys, don't show these photos like that :D

@Pen That is awesome news, thank you so much for doing that. It would be amazing if this was possible. 15th is not bad :) Can I help in any way?

I'm quite fond my Geneva, those Tudor's look great, but let's face it, I'm a simple dude with simple pleasures much like this subtle piece...

Sublte? It has 4 ruddy dials! Watches should have 1 and 1 only! :roflmao:

@Chaos :D you would like a sun watch, wouldn't you ;) (not that you are not correct in your observation :D )

Oh I don't think any of those do anything, and time on wrist is literally zero, it's a keep on a shelf in a box kind of watch ;-)

Anything with 3 dials beats a watch with none.   I surrender.

So, you're going to wear it to the beer festival on Friday then?  We have a shelf near our table and abox we can put it in!

That's some nice watches there.

I haven't worn a watch for about 25 years, since my last one died and I had one of those new-fangled mobile telephones.

Those that know me will know that I'm more into old stuff, and with that in mind, I'd like to get my dad's old watch repaired so that I can use it.
I'm going to have to start looking for a reliable watch repairer.

Vintage watches are big at the moment and the classic slimline look of that watch is absolutely spot on.  Whilst purely on financial grounds it might not be worth getting it refurbished, given its personal connection to your Dad I'd say it's well worth doing.

Erm....
I really should wear my glasses when on the pc.
That pic is of my Grandad's watch, my dad's watch is a Zodiac.
I'll post a pic when I find one.

Just to take this thread another way, I've been sporting the Samsung S3 Classic for the last 2 years. All the dials a man could need.
