Its not that it is a Russian server, i'd just seen a streamer who when talking about the EU servers he specifically said i think alot of russian streamers are picking Asgard so "we" (meaning his community) would be avoiding that one.

Yep, I've suggested to the WoW guildies about a possible alliance and they seem mostly up for it.

I'm up for this game as well! I have two more IRL friends who are looking to buy it and very likely a couple more of their friends as well. I think it's good to join forces with your guild mates, as there seems to be a focus on "strength in numbers" in the game.

I've seen quite a few videos from streamers, youtubers, etc, and the factions seem to be more or less set already in how they compare size wise. Everyone seems to be in agreement that Marauders and Syndicate will be the largest ones and Covenant the smallest. People seem to think that the Marauders will be the largest one, but it will vary from server to server. As factions control areas and thereby decide on upgrades to work stations, get bonuses and stuff, it is kinda rubbish to be in the smallest one. If Jewelz's mates were thinking Syndicate, I'm all for that. They also have a good look to their gear.

Chat in Baggins_tv community they are probably going Syndicate on launch too, server is yet to be decided.

You can't choose the specific starting area, only server.

We will be heading to Fae (server), and looking like Syndicate- but this is decided later, by level 10.

So are the good Doctor said we can’t really choose where we spawn sadly ( not couldn’t in the beta Anyway). There is 4 starting locations that you can start in at random. We will put up a forum page when the game is out so people can see who they have spawned near. There is apparently a way to manipulate the spawn you get but I am not sure if this is possible in the full game or not. I will just play the spawn I get and heal who ever is lucky enough to join me there

We tested this yesterday:
When you get the quest from the beach tower NPC to go to whatever town is nearby ("Storm on the Horizon"), turn that quest in but DO NOT accept the next one.
If you open your map, you'll notice the quest is available at all starter towns. While this doesn't alleviate the travel for some players, you and your group can decide where you want to end up and sync the quests early on the game.

It might be worth someone starting a new thread with the server/faction/starting location (can be updated on the day) and information about how to get to the same starting location. I feel it will get lost in here.
