Hi gang,

I will likely be playing on Asgard with my WoW guildies, we have a group of 15 or so confirmed so far, you are all more than welcome to join. We've yet to confirm a faction yet but it is looking like Syndicate. I appreciate you guys will want a Dead Men Walking company so if we can all agree on a server, I can then try and persuade a few to sign up to forums and the likes.

Even better if we make some new friends along the way.

I've seen Asgard and Fae mentioned as servers in the last few posts.

So how do we choose one? Poll? Chime in please, those of you who will be playing!

Honestly, no opinion on server. I'll follow the crowd.

Is there a list of server names? Or is everyone assuming the beta names will be the same at release ?

I'm on Biringan but only because it was the recommended server for lowest latency when I started out, quite a few Polish folks on here so language is sometimes an issue.

 Asgard sounds nice, given Jewlez and his 15 buddies are already going there.

How many possible people could you end up playing with on Fae @Gunda?

As much as I hate to agree with this guy and gunda, I feel we either need to do massive recruitment or join with another set of guys.  I'll be playing...(how much I'm unsure of with work and family I'm unsure of) but it'll Def need a decent size company to achieve the most we can in the game.  I'm happy with going with general census of others of what they wish to do

Looking at the way bigger companies operate in the game (and I am by no means an expert), I see settlements and towns goverened by companies. The servers in beta have maybe 12 regions each with 2 settlements or towns. as there are 3 factions, each region will be purple, green or yellow based on faction. A small company can contribute to a regional takeover on maintaining control of one by simple being there and working to contribute.

I think that is a part of the game that is less appealing, it's like power play in Elite. If we're playing together as a group, even 3 or 4 it is far more fun to take on missions, dungeons and work through the story than 1 person alone. I'm not saying it cannot be done but even at level 15, killing off Ghouls (White floaty things than float above the ground) which are probably the first creature that is super tough to kill alone, are in mobs in missions. We need friends to get through this stuff. Or join pubbys.

I am really looking forward to this having played the Beta a bit.

There's a swamp full of infection that seems to need nightspots! If you don't mind infection rates being quite high. :norty:

I've been reliably informed (thanks Gunda) that Asgard is a Russian server, we won't be heading there then.
