Members can meet up and do missions together. It's flaky, but it mostly works.

If, like me, this has been the functional trigger you've been waiting for before jumping on to SC then I suggest you join us for some shenanigans.

One part that is a burden to begin with is having the cash to buy vehicles like the ROC buggy for mining. So anyone needing a boost to get earning, we can transfer funds to help out and from there you can start earning in aUEC.

Also since PU ships are now persisitent, anyone who buys a ship will keep that throughout the alpha, possibly beta (not confirmed). Therefore if you want to try a specific ship that is available to buy for in game money, we can get one for the community to play with.

Right now the Expo is running so all ships are popping up free to rent from time to time.

As OB says, it's now the time to get into the learning phase and trying out the game. It's not so difficult to get into. I'd say SC is at that point now where Elite was when most people dabbled for the first time.

Sorry, just had a major expense (of the replace the car kind) so my PC upgrade has been put on hold a couple of months (aka none of what I want is in stock so I have to wait to play SC until after Christmas).

I'm still enjoying myself in Elite although playing on my lonesome.

Desperately trying to muster the enthusiasm for SC again but don't want another round of being frustrated by a game which has promised so much and yet still still delivers so little.

I did work out how to launch the game though so I will try at some point. Miss the banter if nothing else :-)

The banter is flowing. Sulky, in particular, never stops praising the game. He is so positive about the game mechanics and how SC has outdone Elite in all areas :whistle:

yes i am ....and as for the praise, me thinks oldie got it slightly wrong, its a good game in places, but the crap bits are more noticeable IMO

Yeah. That's totally fair given the state of the game. The mindset of expecting a game is a fair response considering how much people have stumped up. That said, there's a fair amount to do still. You kinda get used to many of the 'quirks' - there is some progress though!
