As most of our posts are to ask smite to help us with painstshop or photoshop i thought it would be good if we have a thread in the top of this part of the forum which we can post tips or questions to how to do various things in these programs

Photoshop all the way.

And you must also get 'Total Training for Photoshop'. Excellent tuition.

I used to use photoshop, but then I needed an illustrator compatable product along with PS, and I couldn't justify spending out for the CS edition.

So I went for CorelDRAW® Graphics Suite 12

I was pleasantly surprised. I'm not a professional graphics designer, we employ someone else to do that :) However, I do need to take the images that he creates and manipulate them for the web. This package is all I need, and it is very well featured and at less than half the price of photoshop, well worth a go. Oh, and there is a free trial too :)
