Its paper thin, and the guy from Everglide at i12 told me the coating was a special form of Teflon, he wouldn't tell me exactly what though, apparently its a trade secret :o

I dont use any stuff on the pads on my mouse, dont really need to, the mat is slick enough :)

Well I'm damned! I've just ordered both of those AND I've got an Intellimouse v.3. I'm gonna be Ger-rate!

Benny

I tape my mouse to my head then use it in a virtual style as close to the screen as possible. I have a piece of string tied to my toe which flicks a switch to boil the kettle, the steam inflates a balloon onto a pin, the resulting bang triggers and accoustic sensor which through some convoluted circuitry fires a pneumatic piston arm into my funny bone, which causes my arm to twitch braking the foild contacts on my fingers which are wired to the keyboard. This is my fire button.

I'm bored.

I have an optical intellimouse and a piss cheap (work aquired) mouse mat with wrist pad...do all the gubbins really make a difference?

You lot are a salesman's dream come true.  I got a £1.99 mouse mat and nicked, i mean acquired a m$ optical intellimouse from "sources."  Tbh it's all wuffle talk of mouse mat's, mice feet, teflon coated fingers, etc, etc.  There's no substitute to raw hand eye co-ordination and a brain that has the capacity to learn from mistakes.

Tutonic ....CLEAR THAT MESS UP NOW!

you dont know what a diffrence it makes till you try it. i thought that my old 3 button optical without a mouse mat was ok. till i tryed the 5 button intelli, now i wouldnt ever go back [even if it does cock up some times , jamming the fire button and pullin out the kinfe in the middle of a fire fight]
i tryed a m8s everglide pad at i10 and wanted one ever since so first opertunity i got i bought one and im so gald i did
