We have three matches on Aztec in the coming eight days. Two of the matches are 6 vs 6 and one is 5 vs 5. All of the matches are ghost matches. So should we try and practice on this map again?

Practice today (Saturday) at 18.00 on Baldric?

Another one tomorrow at the same time?

(The next match for Zombies is on Inferno.)

Slightly later is normally better for me - allows time to get the kids off to bed first  :D   Maybe 8pm instead?

If we do a praccie thenit should be in Baldric not on Homer as it confuses the regulars when they arrive to find us flanking them and taking Smite's head off with an awm

Are we going to allow Zombies in on Ghosts practice sessions? They'll learn everything we know about tactics and strategies.  :army:

We have clan tactics not squad tactics. We learn off each other I hope.

I'm becoming disillusioned with this 2-squad routine. I know that Oldie said that it was an experiment so here's my feedback on the experiment:

IMHO it is divisive from both teams viewpoints. I wonder if in a few years time we will end up with a third team or even end up splitting the clan (ok that's real worst case stuff but it is possible). Personally, I would like to see things go back to the old way.

My opinion 4 what it's worth.

I hear what you're saying BB and I'm happy for everyone to feedback on the squad experiment ....  but not just yet.

I want the thing to run for a long enough period so that all the pros and cons surface. To that end I suggest that in early Jan 2003 I will start a topic asking for feedback on the squad experiment. When everyone has had a chance to express their views I will then put up a vote to either revert or carry on.

I hope that's acceptable to all.

one of the plus sides i like about the system is that you know when you put your name down for a match, you know there is going to be a good chance of playing. where before there would be 15 people on IRC and just end up wasting half hour until the teams were picked. and also you always had to be on around, were this way i know there are certain days I keep free for matches.

And i don't see it spilting up the clan. as we have so many members even when there are matches on you can still get a game on MH.

Yes I agree 100%. Before the squads were formed we had 15 ppl signed up for a 5 vs 5 game. It must be hell for the teamleader to pick 5 that haven't played when we have 3-7 matches per week. Who wants to do the check how many matches each person have played. Now with squads it is much easier.

There are mixing av Z and G, mostly in G matches suprisingly.

I don't see us as Z and G but as dMw, that is why I thought that a practice is good for us as a clan. I suggested this as a clan member not as a Zombie. Aztec is one of the most played maps so it is imperative that we know it by heart.
If I had suggested it as a Zombie for zombies only I would have posted in the Zombie Training Banter forum.

OK! Before anyway takes offence let me try to clarify what I said above but didn't explain well.

I do NOT believe that any one of us would deliberately try and split up the clan or be deliberately divisive. I DO believe that, whether we mean to or not, having two teams will slowly, and inevitably, create a divide among us without anybody intending it.

Having (hopefully) clarified my statements I am happy to wait until January before discussing this further (as requested by Oldie).

Too late!  8O   Gotcha! - When the hole is neck-deep, stop digging

My 2 cents (Eurocents not US cents, although to be fair they're both crap) - as long as we keep mixing it on the MH then I think we will survive until Jan2003.

So far no Ghost has been needed to jump into a Zombies match yet, but Zombies so far have had to join in the last 3 Ghost matches due to people not turning up.....there are 8 Zombies and 16 Ghosts and the ghosts cannot make a full team even a 5V5???

This may be down to the fact that the Zombies are made up of people who play on MH every night.

Also my 2 cents worth on awm'ing in practice...now i am not bothered by the use of awm but in a practice you need to learn to win with basic weapons - SMG's, M4's the like and maybe scouts if need be just to learn and if people can get good with a Scout then they can sure as hell be even better with an awm and in the match if you have enough money get that damn awm and own with it but for practice learn with the basics first, learn tactics.....if you want to learn to avoid awms then have an awm match and see if the ts can get past the cts with awms and vice versa.

Errmmmm i think thats it....mm yep ahhh yep thats it im done ranted and ou.....

...and your point is?

Thanks Smite, you have just confirmed my earlier point!
