An update to the Steam client has just been released. Steam will update itself automatically when you restart. Here is a list of the changes:

STEAM CLIENT CHANGES / ADDITIONS:

Removed Exit & Logout command

Improved authentication system

Improved UI feedback when Internet connection has been lost

Improved pre-loading behavior (will no longer pause)

Added new in-game languages: Japanese, Thai, & Russian

This update includes a "Half-Life 2 Hardware Survey". This mostly automated survey collects information about Steam users' computer hardware (and some software). We plan to use this information to tune the performance of our games.

This worked for me

Remove... models folder, sound folder, sprite folder, and any custom wads within csrtike includeing decals.wad

I hadn't changed any thing within cz so that worked fine, but i would think you will need to do the same for cz if you have custom models etc

An update to the Steam client has just been released. Steam will update itself automatically when you restart. Here is a list of the changes:

STEAM CLIENT CHANGES / ADDITIONS:

Fixed game launch problem caused by customized game content

Update: In order to expedite the fix for crashing caused by custom content, Steam is temporarily ignoring custom game content. The use of custom content will be re-enabled as soon as possible.

I suppose that is one way to fix it! LOL Steam is ignoring game content hahahahaha
