Re Rizzy's comments, yes the changed file only needs to be server side.

That'll be your answer then ;)

Spawn points all fixed.  I didn't bother putting in all 32 spawn points again as we would never use it for that number of players, but it will handle a comfortable 13v13 if needed.

The edited map is en route to our servers and will hopefully be available for gaming tonight.  You do NOT need to download anything as the edits are serverside and your client will autodownload the new entity info at the start of the map.

Agreed. Well done!

What did you use to edit spawnpoints? SDK? Text Editor?

Got a response from map author:

QuoteThanks for the info -- I'll get this fixed as soon as possible.

Based on previous experience of map authors (remember cs_waterside? great map but buggy) I didn't expect a reply but what do I know?

I used BSPedit to edit the entity (it's a nice simple text editor) and SpawnPointEditor to visually check the validity of the spawn points, overlaps, wall incursion etc.  The combination of the two allowed fairly quick editing.

I also emailed the author following your above email and offered the .ent file that I made.  He could then include the amendments and recompile from his end if he wanted to just adopt our spawn points rather than recreate his own.

Nice to know that we won't have to rely on my patched version for too long ;)
Also nice to see is a CS:S version.  His reply is below.

Being nice, have an overview. Makes it easier when you first play it.

I played this map yesterday on a server that hosts it for stints of 900mins and over! They certainly knew their stuff and accepted my british accent from across the atlantic. They were gamers who were enthralled with TCS tactics and although it was a public server we worked like we do in every round. It gave me alot of practice of tactics and from what i experienced the terrorists preferred a b rush or to those not familiar with the map a left hand side rush to the bombsite. The bomb sites are brilliant for defending and attacking and i think we will wnjoy this map for many games to come. I look forward to playing with my clan and not some yankies! ;)

I put the Source version on my source server but there is a lot of texture issues with it _ probably because it is an alpha build.
