Ordered a New hdd and XP pro on Sunday, the X Pro disc was dleivered on the Wednesday but no hdd. The site claims its all been delivered and the courier has no information.

with no phone number that i can find you are resorted to there enotes system. It might take 7 days befor i know whats happaned to my hdd and then it might not be good news.

Probably the last time i use them, i dont like the idea of not having a person to shout at. Experiance with hi-velocity and there constant fed back reassued everyone, but with ebuyer if something goes wrong u are left in the dark for long periods.

A note to all ebuyer buyers! If you read the the dispatch notice carefully there will be certain aspects that you must take into consideration. Firstly if damaged sign for as damaged do not sign your name as this allows the courier to say it was not damaged on the receit of goods at your end. I only became aware of this when i accidently read a dispatch notice from them once. However in this case it may have been best to refuse the goods and ask them to be sent back to ebuyer. Lastly ebuyer are very slow at replying to enotes. I have often waited 5 business days to receive a reply! Basically when you receive the goods its like a contract becareful and make sure you read the terms which are usually printed on the disptach note in your email. Some times opening the package infront of the carrier works and this is also another method companies who use carriers ask their buyers to abide by without the buyers themselves relising it. Remember you have statuary rights!

Once me and two friends put an order together for about £250.  We used a cheque to pay for everything, they used to accept them back then.

We had to wait over a MONTH for delivery of our order, and when we tried to conact eBuyer for information on what was happening, they didn't give a rats ass  <_<

This should technically only apply if the parcel/packaging is visibly damaged. If the box/whatever appears intact you can still claim afterwards. Also, most courier companies insist you actually sign or they won't leave the goods with you. You can write (unchecked) and sign next to it I suppose? 8)

However now it is not satisfactory to leave a signed 'unchecked' as they have realised that many clients are just signing unchecked. To prevent this they have now decided and i quote
' CAUTION if this tape is broken or if the package is damaged check the entire contents in front of the carrier and sign the carrier's sheet in accordance with actual condition and quantity of contents. it is not sufficient to sign 'unexamined'. Written complaints must be made to the carriers and the senders immediately otherwise no claim can be entertained'

I ordered parts for a new PC over four weeks ago from ebuyer and I still don't have a working PC    In fact they still have the faulty Motherboard/CPU.

They don't answer e-notes and take ages to get back to you on returns.  The prices are good but I will never use them again (and I've spent thousands of pounds with them over the years).  At least in the good old days you could get to talk to someone if you had a problemand you could sort something out, but now it's the e-note system or nothing and when they don't answer them (I've got one outstanding from over two weeks ago) your stuffed.  You can't create a new e-note until you close the old one and there is no other course of action open to you, I even tried using the return system to get someone to phone me but still no response! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Sorry for the rant but I am really unhappy with this company at the moment  :(

Similar to Aria.  Their prices are low, but I'll never use them again because their customer service is lowest bar none!

To clarify, here is a quote directly out of an email confirming dispatch (received 5 minutes ago)

QuoteUpon receipt of your order you will be asked to sign for the goods received in good condition. If you are unable to check the contents of the package at that moment in time please sign for the parcel as "DAMAGED / UNCHECKED".Failure to do so may affect any warranty claims that you make
thereafter.

If of course the item is not visibly damaged you still won't know until you plug it in, so you can still claim.

This comes under the laughable topic of "Unfair Contract Terms" which means that the quoted text is practically worthless to them should you receive goods which are damaged or not fit for purpose and decide to then complain.  Most companies have a scare-mongering clause like this to put of the 'casual' complainant.

good news.

a lovely gal called maria has been dealing with my ebuyer enote. She has discovered that citylink only received 1 parcel to send to me and has put out another hdd for me on priority delivery service.

She was even nice enougth to change the address a good 10 hours after this order was setup.

I should have my shiny new sata drive tomorrow.

Fantastical.

albert

Never had a problem with em. By the sounds of things, don't want, I would probably speak for all so far saying 8/10 for cheap kit, 4/10 for cheap customer service.
Cheers, Bert

well my hdd came this morning. Just in time as well. My misses was just about to leave for work when it arrived.

Amusingly, this morning I drove past a citylink van pulling a Van out of a ditch. I bet thats where my hdd was, in the ditch.

My PC is finally working as well but it took them a LONG time to sort out (nearly 6 weeks).  The new motherboard was causing a fault on the new CPU and so when the CPU was replaced the replacement was made faulty by the Motherboard as well

I now have a new Motherboard and CPU but what a load of hassle I've had getting it sorted

As Albert says, cheap prices and cheap service to go with it (although 4/10 might be a bit generous)!!!

I have never had any problems with returns frmo ebuyer. I bought my last rig from ebuyer and the motehrborad shorted, neither the power supply or mb were working so I sent them back and they replaced them withing a few days.
