Quote from: Doorman;268985I was in your cockpit when that happened. :D

Hehe...I knew it wasn't my fault, your ghost distracted me lol.

Quote from: Doorman;268985I hear what you're saying but the I can't see the logic of it. The thing goes tits up before half way! I think the leader had 15 laps to go! We can try another format but I'm concerned now that the death knell of dMr nKP has sounded. (Yeah alright, a bit melodramatic. Sorry)

I only base that opinion (or guess) on how other servers run. GPC hasn't crashed once in 36ish races with similar numbers of drivers to DMR, and other servers run 24/7 with no obvious problems, so I picked out the unique feature of your series.

Don't blame you one bit for feeling downhearted though...I appreciate the efforts you've gone to and it's gotta sting to have races fall to bits like that through no fault of your own.

Damn shame, I had just made the best pitstop ever (TM) by missing my box with the brakes locked, getting flustered and stalling it in reverse. :D :D

There are two separate issues I think, one is just on the DMR hour long races the sim doesn't seem to like the long races and crashes...the second is the netcode which has taken a big turn for the worse on all servers.

Fun race mostly. Had good scraps with Franklin and Boissel and was in 3rd with a decent gap each way, with not long to go before the first pitstops.

At this point I plowed into the back of a lapped driver when I didn't realise he was trying to let me pass until too it was late...cue 10 mins fix time and 7 laps down at the flag.

Really sorry about that...wish I hadn't panicked and locked up the brakes, then we would both have survived with just a scare. Just so you know, slowing on the racing line like that is a really bad idea, even with the best of intentions (you probably know that now anyway lol), especially with a huge long straight coming up in two corners time. :)

Maybe someone should chat to Jaap...GPC has lag problems from time to time but not server crashing and behaving wonky, maybe they have some secret "don't crash" setting they could help with :roflmao:

I had to add it manually...but then I got disconnected whilst in a decent lead :ranting2: :g:

It was about lap 10...but looking at my replay we were the only cars left by then :eyebrow:

Not sooooo unhappy with the early bath...next time I'll have the car in gear when the lights go green. :roflmao::roflmao:

Good fight for the first 10 laps Matsuomoto!

Qualified 4th and with enough time for a 3rd "risky" run, was hoping to improve to P3. On my outlap the room went pitch black and I was left holding a dead wheel...there was a powercut in my area. I rejoined with a few minutes to left in Q and would start somewhere around 11th.

Decided to take it very steady at the start and leave plenty of safety margin...this worked pretty well as I was 4th at the end of lap 1 and 2nd at the end of lap 2, without really overtaking anyone :D

Couldn't offer much of a fight to Deetz so had a quiet race, only seeing the occasional lapped car (all behaving very courteously). Only incident was a brush on the wall of champions which luckily only bent the steering a tiny bit.

It's great fun keeping these tricky cars on a tough circuit for extended periods of time, I had a blast...thanks to the organiser and all who raced, grats again to Deetz.
