Quote from: smilodon;264492Well I need to know which forums you are interested in. The idea is that moderators make a point of reading through the posts in a certain forum. So it would be good if it was a forum you actually had an interest in. Moderators need to be active in their forums.:)

I'm not very active on those ones,so beter pick peeps that are active init.

Thanks, thanks. I am overwhelmed. Moderating consistently is a serious business so I'm working up a set of guidelines and as soon as the Lords of dMw have signed them off I'll get things up and running. If your already actively moderate a forum then please be assured nothing will change. This is just about getting more people to actively help with the process

As I've mentioned and as I am being told by the above mentioned Lords, we're looking for a very low key, hands off approach. Some will know me as one of those wishy washy free speech wet liberals (a fair accusation) so I'm very mindful that I don't get people thinking the thought police have taken over the forums. UK Law is that insane that people who run forums actually can bet prosecuted for the stuff their forum users write  So this is really all just to make sure we have a fun, open forum that's a pleasure to visit and to post in, nothing more.

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

This goes from bad to worse. Apart from a bit of time on L4D I've had zero time to do this. I have to work through every forum making sure the moderator permissions are right. It's taking a lot longer than I thought. Sorry and be assured that I will get this set up this weekend. Promise promise promise. Thanks for your patience.

Chill, it needs to be done eventually, don't drive yourself mad over it, good to see you on L4D tonight :)

through careful management I\'ve got most of it left.

You could create a moderators forum and assign everyone who either is a moderator or who volunteered to it. I've already got a list of who is moderating what. Then wash my car and give me a huge bin liner full of fifty pound notes.
