Somewhere to dump all of those 'Did-you-see-that?' moments
You know the sort of thing; video clips of racing incidents, quick laps etc.

They might be amateurs, but he outbreaks everything - even the motorbikes - and overtakes a slightly skidding BMW on the outside on the way out of a corner.

207BHP, 440BHP/ton, 0-60MPH in 3.3s

Edit: Two Caterhams dueling it out (I loved that track in GTL!)

Marvelous! I disliked that track intensely and it looks faaaar too narrow IRL! Good finds. Actually that site has gone in my favourites. :)

Hey look at that...it's LX4! :)

Yes those Lotus 7/Caterhams are nice cars and quite fast too 'cause ther are so light. Looking at the duel vid, it seems they are as cranky in real life as LX4 in LFS.

Do you know that the old Ring (Nordschleife) was used in mainstream racing still in early '90s (I don't mean any 24h races). At least DTM used it then.

Some early '90s DTM racing

Total qualifying lap by Klaus Ludwig (compare to that Lotus7 vid)

See how much the lighting changes. Sometimes sun shines to your eyes and sometimes it is total shadow. Must be hard.

This is a relly tasty mix of DTM and some hillclimbing etc. Also 'the green hell' clips. The slowmotion parts are really tasty :dribble:

Or if you prefer the old way (1967 F1 race at the old Ring)

Some old nice cars, '60s chicks and famous drivers. :D

Man.. that Ludwig clip is hair-rising to watch

Doorman

Superb clips.
I just loved the '67 German Grand Prix. English you could understand, a broken 'crownwheel and pinion' :lmfao: white overalls, cars with no adverts and cars getting air! Those were the days. :D

so who's up for gp legends then with the 67 mod and the updated graphics

I came into this world with nothing,
through careful management I\'ve got most of it left.

I admit, it made me nostalgic but it soon passed. :D

Is the mod any good?

The game, Grand Prix Legends is an all time classic. Add the '67 mod and a truckload of add-on tracks etc. it's only just beginning to show it's age in the physics department.

I tryed a GPL demo some time ago. Man it was hard with the keyboard...yeah yeah, I know...get a wheel :getmecoat:

delanvital

I know GPL but F1 never really was my kinda thing (GPL is the F1-thing, right?), but never heard of the mod. Hm, GPL can't be that pricey now? :g:

Doorman

A fiver if you can find it somewhere.
