Death Aboard 6.1:

It's now in a .vpk file which needs to be dropped into your 'left4dead\addons' directory.

But the old one was a bunch of files, so needs to be manually deleted.

Obviously this is only for those of you who installed it.


Death Aboard Cleanup

Maps\l4d_deathaboard*
Maps\l4d_vs_deathaboard*

Materials\vgui\loadingscreen_deathaboard*
Materials\vgui\outrotitle_deathaboard*

Materials\models\stormy        (remove entire stormy directory)

Missions\deathaboard*

Models\stormy                  (remove entire stormy directory)

 There are a couple of other files in the old zip file, but they seem to get absorbed by the L4D code, cos they don't appear on my PC's and I did a full extract.

Yep i will keep them up to date as and when required.

I will also add any new maps to the list as and when required.

:) I've removed the maps from Coldstore as it was mucking up the cycle.

downloaded dead city from sadako's link.. says that the riverside file is corrupt when i unzip...

hmm it was fine for me and a few others.

Try the other link just to be sure.

I unzip using the windows xp extraction wizard try that if your using winzip.

There is a new version of Death Aboard and the servers will be updated ASAP.
 
Please ensure that you download and install as detailed in the instructions included in the zip file.

PS for those that can't read or are too impatient.
 
INSTALLATION
Extract the files into your Left 4 Dead folder.
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\left 4 dead\
I do exactly what the little voices tell me to.

PC Specs:- Black box with some fans that go whirrr, a few lights, things inside that get warm, headphones, keyboard (a clicky one), mouse (with buttons and no squeak), disks (2-off SSD and HDD) and a monitor of sufficient proportions.

Dr Sadako did download the previous version to his super-fast-whizzy-go-faster-than-a-fast-thing-with-a-chilli-up-it's-posterior website.
Maybe he would be good enough to do this again?

Can someone please confirm the links in the top post are the latest ones for the server?

For whatever reason the link to Death Abroad is not working for me.

Anyone got another?
