When you get killed - can you spectate?

Do you get only a finite number of lives?

You can spectate your dead body or a team mate.

Yes, you get a finite number of lives depending on the difficulty setting (and mission?).

First thoughts:

Hello guys - I started playing the demo last weekend and then did a marathon games session on the full game on Friday.....WOW! Talk about steep learning curve!

First of all it's a magnificent game, it's scope, detail and sheer scale are mind-blowing. The world is amazing and very immersive, and the combat - particularly distance of engagements - are very realistic...BUT...

Depending on which multi-player format you play (not sure what you will be trying out) the huge multiplayer games can drag on most but the very high spec'd machines. I don't think this will be a huge problem on dMw as you sensibly tend to keep to manageable numbers when you do games.

Even so, another problem I encountered is the general lack of knowledge about *how* to play a multiplayer game --- many games I have played so far have had a lot of comms traffic with players asking 'how do I do this' or 'How do I work the spawn system'?

So I don't know whether you guys are intending to do a 'What the new player needs to know most' thread - but it would be appreciated (just some salient points about how to do the most crucial things that are hidden away in that labyrinthine menu system!)...

I know the best way to learn is to do - but a few reminders posted somewhere would be great (something we can all add to as we go along).

Looking forward to meeting up with you guys in ArmA2 land! :)
