i get 30 fps at high quality in the demo slows to 25 ish in towns

thats with quad 6600, 4 gig ram and a geforce 260

i watched the you tube demo and was quite impressed, does remind me of Operation Flashpoint, i havent played the demo yet so cant really critisize but it looks a bit too complicated for my liking. i am on the border line about buying it, i hate making these decisions, shall i just wait for modern warefare 2? :g:

Have you installed any additional/replacement skins or mods?

Nope. I've played on a few servers that have been running custom maps, and the game downloaded them automatically before I connected.

Like I said, any other internet server is fine - it's just the dMw one that seems to dislike me

Don't think your the only one having trouble, I was picking off machine gunner from a convoy when everyone disconnected.

Either that or they hate me.

I'd certainly be up for it again, if we can get enough deadmen it might be an idea to stick a password on the server so we can actaully be sneaky.

Arm,

I was on the server with you last night as you know - and then my pc crashed (froze) so had to restart. Think its a few patches short of being stable but I enjoyed the brief time we did play.

After the latest beta driver for ATI (9.7) I am now getting much better results at high to very high sit st 55 - 62 alot of the time and drop to 40's in forest. I have the view distance normally at 3k. I do have to check in some servers because it defaults the view distance to 1.5 k automatically for anyone that joins. I still need to use the -winxp command to get crossfire working though. Hoping the the full RC will not need it as ATI will have had plenty of time to sort it out. Also using a couple of nice mods that RIP posted for use on their server that show fps from ingame (not as hungry as fraps) and also a couple for better voice contol of the 'man far west' and more realistic sounds.
