This is a game I'm will certainly buy as soon as it appears on steam. Hurry up already. That video shows it's going to blow CoD and BC2 out of the water.

It's so refreshing seeing smoke and explosions done well. Dumbing things down for consoles has been holding back graphics so much it's painful.

I very much want to play BF3.

But I'm already getting annoyed by the DLC :/

'Day One DLC' is a horrible idea, but I doubt it will put me off BF3 (providing it actual turns out to be a decent game of course).

What's that? You spent £5 on a silencer for your sniper rifle? Here, let me park my M1A1 Abrams right in your face...

It's certainly not enough to stop me from buying the game, but it's enough to annoy me in a grumpy ******* kind of way.

Saying that tho - http://www.game.co.uk/PC-Games-and-Downloads/Shooter/First-Person/~r355081/Battlefield-3-Limited-Edition-Physical-Warfare-Pack/ - £30 Isn't exactly steep.

I'm tempted, but I don't want to support the DLC idea so I'm voting with my wallet and buying the 'plain' version when it arrives on Steam.

I don't want to support DLC either, but given non-sale pricing on steam I doubt it's going to be less than £30.

QuoteQ: Do I have to choose between Back to Karkand and the Physical Warfare Pack as my pre-order bonus?
A: No. There is no way you can pre-order Battlefield 3: Limited Edition and not  end up with the Back to Karkand expansion pack at no extra charge. On  top of this, select retailers all over the world will carry the Physical  Warfare Pack. Exact details for other countries and retailers will be  announced at a later date.
Think i may have to can my order with Amazon in favour of Game

I'm going to get the pre-order steam version when it hits. Extra maps, maybe the silly DLC, I'm sure we'll see. TBH, a shotgun isn't going to make much difference at all in a game which for the most part is fought at range. I know it's a bit silly having weapons that can't be unlocked without paying but I don't think it's game breaking.

it depends if 1) are we getting a bf3 server and 2) will there be DLC maps on it
