There is a new version of BF3 available to pre-order.

The "Battlefield 3 Limited Edition: Physical Warfare Pack". It contains the Limited Edition "Return to Karkand" stuff, plus an extra four unlocks not otherwise available

This is an attempt (not a very well thought out one IMO) to attract gamers to buy retail not digital. However, adding four unlocks not available at any stage to other players HAS to cause a balance issue. Armour piercing shotgun rounds anyone?

Your thoughts? Are you going to cave and change your pre-order to the most recent extra exclusive limited edition?

Might have to get this but i would receive the game on the day of release ive pre-orderd once before and it got lost in post (thats blockbuster for you) or would i collect instore? also whens release date for bf3?

If the game is a steamworks title I'll probably pick it up retail from game to get these (It's likely cheaper that steam prices anyway). However I don't buy games that I can't tie to my steam account. I haven't since Feb 15th 2006...and I buy a lot of games. So I won't be getting these weapons unless like CoD MW2 & BO, or numerous other games it uses steamworks so the retail versions tie in with steam.
Juggling Hard Disks over concrete floors ends in tears 5% of the time.

BF3 Is not a Steam Works title. See DICE twitter feed.

Rush on karkand :O! , Graphics look amazing glad they started over with the game engine instead of using the same one like they normally do i just cant wait to play it now HUD for tanks and jets look pretty cool aswell
