Guys don't worry to much about all the key I have a short cut but can't get to it on phone will post it up tomorrow.

I had hoped to play this with a 360 controller but with all the key bindings that doesn't look likely.

I don't feel I'm really "getting" it anyway at the moment. The single player mission has someone shouting out stuff like "enemy 100 yards west" yet I can't see anything and just get shot by invisible enemies. My team mates keep disappearing. I keep dying.

I was wrongly expecting something more like Battlefield.

I don't mean any of that as a negative, just that I don't think I'm going to be able to get into it.

It is so nothing like a modern FPS and it is a different mind set but once you get through the learning curve it is a great game.

I started off being rubbish and not knowing where the enemy is but over time I have learnt how the game works.

I will find out when I am free this week and have a open session on ts for any questions you have.

Timmer - it's nothing like Battlefield, but singleplayer doesn't really show off the best that the game has to offer. Arma is at it's best when you're using teamwork with your buddies to complete an objective, it's not a great game to play 'lone wolf' style.

If you jump into a game with some of the more experienced players, we can guide you through the basics in no time. Just give one of us a shout on Steam and we'll be happy to show you the ropes :)

In order to join you guys, I'd have to fork out £19.99 for the proper Alpha on a game I just can't see myself playing. Thanks though.

Just in case you missed it here is a good key binding layout to use.

That's what I thought. It's all friendly banter and, to be fair, you're not thickskinned - you're bullet proof.
