Smilo and Lib both hit the nail on the head, this game does have a learning curve and yes it is steep but we will help you through it.

And the more you play the better you will get. But above all ask, we are here to help and we have before been in a full on gun fight and surrounded when a new player asked a question.  So we dug in the order was given to defend and we help that person out. :)

So hope to see you all in game soon.

This video sells the game better than I ever could, and underlines BI's approach to a tee (get your passionate community to sell they game for you? Check!)

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

"You're not going to have to buy a whole new DLC just to fight in close quarters maps or use armoured vehicles more"

Wonder what that was referencing...

Anyway, very good video. I am looking forward to playing the game. I had a quick go today, and first impressions are good. For one thing, it looks stunning. I had a little try of the infantry level and the helicopter one (crashed 3 times in a row). Hope to play some multiplayer with you lot soon.

I think the game recognised my incompetence to pilot a boat and so punished me by freezing my client

This game is looking like a sure-fire dMw winner.

Will anyone be around tonight for a game?

Peanut

I'll be about, playing with the editor and such.

Oberg

i'm playing alot on the mission "Wasteland".

Fun PvP scenario thats similar to DayZ. Start with pistol and find weapons, kill players.

But the game keeps crashing so think i let it rest for a week or two!

ArithonUK

Well, jumped in and bought the Alpha. Technically the game is impressive, but as has been said, there's a steep learning curve. When can I get a dMw "This a ARMA" tutorial from some dMw's in the know?

I'm on Steam as "Arithon"

See you in game!

BrotherTobious

Should be around tonight or later this week mate but no worries happy to help.
