Though I have enjoyed that combo a lot, I fear I have to give up the long races for now. There are just not enough racers for it to make sense, sadly . So for the time being, wednesday will be a normal sprint race day... I might be online there, might see you on track! Seany is still going to switch combos at Wednesday.

We might get back to the endurance race idea when AC has matured and there is more interest on the server.

Yeah, i must admit the sprint races seem to show more intrest. Sorry I couldnt make it yesterday guys, will be there tomorrow though! Can't miss my own event  With the collision bug still about its quite a pain to do any racing really isnt it? Maybe wednesday should be longer sprints, maybe (for example) monday is 5 lap, wednesday is 8-10.

I have been too frustrated to even start the game since the last M3 combo. What's the point? The MP issues, collisions gone (or have they come back already?) and the fact you can play the game with odd physics (accidentally) which doesn't match any other MP player (doesn't it test any key files for integrity?)

I don't understand about the physics? I haven't had any issues in that area or seen anyone else report them.  There is mod anti cheat checking (for cars and tracks), I just had not set it up properly on the server.

 Collisions are only broken for the 1st 2 cars to connect, they will pass through each other, everyone else can collide with them and they can collide with everyone else.  For example, me and Spikey Marco where the first two to join yesterday so we would have been able to dive through each other..supposedly.  To be honest I don't think either of us noticed, I had a great evenings racing.  It is a known issue and they are "working on it".  I guess its hard to fix, I don't think they would leave it like this just beacuse they cant be bothered to fix it.

Multiplayer is getting better and I am now convinced that Kunos will keep improving it and are aware of the areas within it that need improving (I get this from recent discussions in the community and fixes they have implemented [eg idle racers on the start grid are now removed before race start etc]).  It will just take time.  There is plenty of enjoyment to be had in it's current state, both offline and online.  Well for me there is anyway.

Like I said earlier after this happened... My car was making moves which I had not experienced before. It was impossible to make a short race without making a doughnut or two. It was impossible my driving skills had plummeted during the night so much. After exiting I tested the file integrity in Steam and it failed. So it redownloaded something and it seemed to have fixed it. The last patch must had broken something in my game.

Actually the tag in the AC thread says "known issue" instead. And somehow I have the impression that this implies no work on it.

Surprisingly, most people seem not to see this as a showstopper. I think a bit different about it...

Ahh yeah, I see that now.  Still, I think they will fix when they can.  I agree it is a bad/silly bug to have, but I don't think it makes racing impossible.  I actually forgot it was there during last nights racing.

NP. Would have been a bit boring with a two car race anyway (not that racing you is boring, but you get what I mean!) Monday seems to be more popular. Wonder if its worth making it a monday arrangement rather than a wednesday?

Sorry couldn't be around yesterday for some races, had to go out!  Rob, in general Monday is our race day (we were doing the champ races on Wed, but that has been put on hiatus), but maybe we can still do some more friendly racing on Wed too, if any one is around.   But if you are going to try to be around for any day in particular, Monday is best!
