Server Details - TBA

As soon as the Server Files have been released, we'll get one up (or two!). Until then we can start our own server. I've seen quite a few servers online already so some folks may be running a stand-alone version on a hosted server.

The Brilliant thing about Toxikk is that we can host our own servers including a LAN server!!

:boxing::boxing: It's one of the features that attracted me to this game.

So.... For Now. Post up in the Listening Thread and get yourself on TS. We can set our own PW'd server up easy peasey.. Shoot you soon!!

I've followed the video but while I can see our server I can't join.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

So when you go into toxikk and do a server browse you see your server? But when you try to connect to it, you can't. Do you get an error? If you look at the windows cmd box where the server is running there is a lot of information in there.

My only guess is that port 7777 and 7778 are not getting through. You did create them as udp and not tcp ports right? Maybe a firewall on your windows box is stopping people from making a connection. Wish that I could be of more help. Send me a Private Message, could get you on my TS server and we could walk through some things.

I've opened ports 7777-7787 (in case we want multiple servers) as well a few others that various posts pointed to.

I've just changed the queryport to 27015 to see if that makes any difference. I hadn't tried this before because I thought we were using 27015 for CS but it turns out we're not.

Look for 'Dead Men Walking 1' in the game browser and see if you can connect (no password needed).

Server up using this new method. I don't hold out much hope though as this just seems to be a neater way to launch the server.

Try it and let me know if it's worked.

New patch has screwed resolution. I can't choose it now.

Work around is:

You can use the command in console "setres 1920x1080". You can set any resolution which supports your monitor.

I can't see sever in my in-game list anymore, and can't join via steam server list either.

Added to steam favourites tried joining via that and in game method both get stuck on connecting/joining.
