Dilema

So I ordered something of the tinterweb and at checkout opted for Royal Mail special delivery. I received an email with a tracking number and a delivery date for Wednesday.

So wednesday came and went as I called the wife and she said it hadn't been delivered. I check the tracker and there was no such item. I called the company yesterday morning and they said " it wasn't dispatched as we have no Royal Mail special delivery labels, we will ship it dpd for delivery tomorrow"

just got got a call from the wife, item delivered, cool I thought, 10 mins later she called again, the postman had delivered another one on standard post with no tracking

50% of me says own up and tell them, but the other says, well they were Idiots...

By by the way I'm the guy who doesn't even Nick free pens in work for fear of getting caught...

I'd be tempted to contact them and let them know. It may not be worth their while to arrange return collection and they'll tell you to keep it.
Even if the do collect it you will feel better because you did the honest thing rather than be a thieving git.

Seriously, go the 'honest' route. After all, 'cheating' is not something any of us would do in-game so you could apply that ethos to RL too  :flirty:

I got sent a random Kindle Paperwhite form amazon, Inside was the invoice, it was meant for someone else.

I rang amazon and they collected it next day, but if it hadn't been a kindle they would have let me keep it (for myself or to give to charity).

I say do the honest thing, you'll sleep better for it. But there mistake so they should come get it, you shouldn't have to make a trip to the post office.
