Quote from: T-Bag;243735I love Razer stuff. I think I'll make the jump to a headset at some point, but I just keep putting it off. Having something that looks cool like that might make me over come my association of nerd-y-ness I have with headsets and make the plunge.

P.S: This is post number 1337, my l33t post. (just showing I can be nerdy)

You should have timed your post better T-Bag :D maybe you could have posted your l33t post at 13:37 or something? :D

It was 7.06pm, I was 6 hours late. If I was more organised maybe, but seeing I'm rarely up at 1pm it's a bit of a stretch. :narnar:

After Creatives f**k up with their Fatility soundcard series I am extremely reluctant to buy any of their products. :sideways: Good luck with it though.

well these haven't been invented yet so I can't have these...

but as my medusa's are now in 2 pieces, and held together by gaffer tape, I am looking for some new phones.

I won't look at the same as before due to poor build quality. these medusa's are a couple of years old, but soon after I got them they developed a rattle in the L earpiece. this turned out to be a plastic tab that had snapped off. the mic arm hinge is loose so the mic constantly drops to it's lowest position. and now the is a rattle in the R earpiece.
the R side of the head strap has snapped off completely in recent days.

Money is not an object, I intend to get the family to club together for my b'day at the end of the month.

so hammer me with your suggestions....no expense spared:D

Interestingly i was having a conversation with Ninja this week about medusa's and whether to go back to them.

I usually spend alot when i go for headphones but after one set breaking and the other still working fine i too am reluctant to buy another especially at the price £49 to £64 on play.

Anyway i can recommend the sennheiser sets mentioned earlier. I have two pairs of pc150's one originally bought for £69.99 a few years back and the other free due to an rma of a second pair. They get me by but aren't as good for pinpointing as the medusa's. However they aren't as robust as the medusa's and if u crack one of the phones of the side that tilt they will need sending back.

However if you want to try another set of medusa's i have the uk distributer details as i had to rma a set. They usually have all the sets in stock and can do a huge discount on the prices compared to play above, aslong as you can quote the model you are after. Give me a nudge if you want their details

The razer headset looks good any new headsets been released recently or soon to be released?

Thulsa Doom

I've had 2 sets of Medusa's and both broke.
Maybe I'm hard on them (likely the kids are) but I finally went for some Trust ones.

hopefully when my medusa's break these will be available.. it does say Q1 09. sure you can't wait Blunt?

I think most of the dmw members have had at least one set of medusa's or are on their second set. I am interested in these razer one's though aslong as the price is right.
