Have your default set to speakers.
Want to hear music on speakers? Do nothing.
Want to play via headset? Disable speaker output.
Want to hear music via speakers again? Enable speaker output.

If you want to be a pro, make a script to enable/disable playback device when you click on it.

Is that not just the similar to changing the default?
Unless i could create a shortcut to the speakers on the desktop :g:

Thank you RedFour.

I'm a bit of a headphone junkie, I tend to try out the less known brands based on reviews and I got recommended this Kickstart project mainly because it was a concept the music business have been recreating poorly in special 5 and 7.1 configured venues for a few decades but never really got it right.

Well these are pretty exciting:

And compared to other high end phones, pretty good in the price department.

Coupled with: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/51215664/mighty-streaming-music-without-your-phone

It's a nice month for music and sound KS projects.

Those headphones are nice.

Might give them a shot later on if they ever get to producing a v2.

Not a bad idea, the first set are always not quite optimal, v2 of the Parrot headset I bought came with the newer version of bluetooth and as a result, better data transfer and mic quality. plus they were more ergo. Needless to say I never upgraded, the price of the first set were enough to put out.

Cyber Monday discount.
They have good reviews across the Web.  I've actually got myself a pair at this price as my corsair cans I use for gaming have been struggling in recent months. I'm sure you've all heard my robot impression ;)

I've just bought a pair of B&O H2 headphones for music at work and play but they're such fantastic sound quality I'm tempted to use them for gaming too.

Has anyone tried a throat mic or have experience with any reasonable standalone mic's that don't pick up too much ambient?

Just to post a few initial thoughts about the G933s (sadly the price on Amazon has jumped back up now..)

They sound great. Comparing to my (now very old) Corsair 2100s, the first impression is one of tighter and more pronounced bass, and a more airy soundstage overall. This is only after 2-3 songs of use, so can't really go into more than that.

They're surprisingly light and comfortable, given their size. They subjectively look a bit fatter than the Corsairs. The earpieces are very nice.

The battery, and I know Dannage was curious about this, is behind a snap-off cover and would be incredibly easy to remove / hot-swap - but I believe it can only be charged IN the headset, so you would have to charge the spare up when not in use. I think if this was important to you, it'd be easy enough to work out.

The negative? They're VERY plastic. They don't feel low quality, they're solid and seem well build, but there is no getting around that plasticy feel. Then again, these are 75 (now 125) quid gaming headphones, not £500 HD 700s. Apart from that, the only niggle I have found so far is I am not sure if there is a battery indicator ON the headset - i.e. can I tell if it is charging, and when its fully charged? I am currently waiting to see if you can customise the lighting to tell you this...

Overall, they seem like a good replacement for my much loved Corsairs. I haven't played with them with other devices yet - but they can be used with Phones & Gaming Consoles too, apparently, which is a plus if you're into that sort of thing.
