Nice, Albert. Right up my street.

Great looking watch choice Oldie! And nice TAG Albert damn, I'm also a big fan of the less busy faces they look sleek.

I'm resurrecting this thread :-)

As some of you know, I've been divesting myself of my watch collection - having sold another 7 just after the LAN and 12 in total. I know the market was down but I felt it was time and taking a 10% hit was acceptable given some had doubled in price. Anyway, now down to three serious watches, one semi-serious and 6 or so I haven’t even looked at in years.

Two of the latter are Casio Gshocks (attached). I know little of GShock's but I know people here are far more knowledgeable. Obviously had a penchant for orange!
  One’s a G-8900A Orange and the other a GW-3000M https://www.casio-europe.com/euro/products/watches/g-shock/gw-3000m-4aer/
Any thoughts on these. Anywhere particular I should look to sell them? Thanks.

Secondly.

My daily wears are now no longer viable for London as too muggable. Anyone got a nice large ( more than 43mm) alternative I should look at?

Thanks.

This one is random. Bought by my brother when he was living in Chicago by his Russian ex-military housemate, it's a Russian Officers Watch. I can't find the original Russian Certificate although it may turn up. Always liked it but just too small for my wrist.

I’m sorely tempted to get a compensation piece.

Fell in love with this Pilot on the right but with the strap from the Big Pilot on the left. I reckon that would be a stunning combo. What do you think?

It would be the first time I've swerved from my regular comfort zone but what's not to like. :)

I would have a look at these as they are reviewing very nicely, great build and not insanly exepnsive so that you would get mugged.

Love the update and that russian watch. I also think the combo would look great :)

Right choice I think, very smart. They're both still pretty desirable to the London mugger though. :sideways:

Not a fan of 'loud' Gshocks but have a couple of of more toned-down versions myself.

Prefer the original strap to be honest.

Albert makes a good point about the IWC - still a target for sure.

How about a mudmaster/rangeman. Nice and chunky :-)

I thought you were heading down the Apple smartwatch route?

Another new watch

Apple Watch ultra

I came into this world with nothing,
through careful management I\'ve got most of it left.

I did try it. I went and bought an Apple Watch Ultra and it's a beast.

However, a few days in and I'm not sure I'm going to keep it. I'm so rarely away from my desk or iPad that I'm not sure how much I'm going to use it. I got it with the loop like yours but am not sure I really like the strap and it's the best of the three. I have another week or so to decide to keep or return to Apple so I'll have a play but currently I may return. It's main saving grace is that I can potentially control the car with it. If so that may be worth keeping.

...

I like the Mudmaster and Rangemam and I do like the Casio but embarrassingly I don't like watches which are complicated to use. I never really understood or could be bothered with the functionality of the two orange ones I have and they don't do anything a phone doesn't do easier or better. I'll investigate further.

...

Yup, aware the IWC is also muggable. I wasn't suggesting it as a everyday wear just something which may soften the blow of looking at an empty watch safe lol.

No one have any ideas on where to flog the other Casio's then? May just have to whack em on Ebay and see what happens.

albert

ECG, keep tabs on your dickie ticker!! Steps, health stuff etc. if that floats your boat. Best watch I ever owned the Apple Watch 5. Very loud rape alarm, also useful when in London!
Cheers, Bert

I've been looking at getting a nice watch for a while and as a gift to myself before starting part-time working, I finally decided on an IWC.
