I'll let you know how good it is next week - I've just ordered the Gamers Edition

QuoteCompared to a recent test of a Radeon X1600 XT on PCI Express, with Athlon 64 4000+ (equal to our FX-53 in the AGP system), the BFG 7800 GS OC is ahead by over 50 per cent in our Far Cry benchmark.

:o

As I don't want to build a new rig anytime soon this might just be a perfect upgrade from my 9600pro.

Looks like it is going to be a good overclocking card:

480/1380 from 375/1200 !!! with standard fans/heatsink

Now if Riva Tuner issue a new version that lets you unlock the disabled pipes/rops we could have a killer on our hands

Jamoe

Just for the info this card is £229.95 (£270.19 Including VAT at 17.5%)  on overclockers.

But the XFX version which is clocked higher and comes with a double lifetime warranty (ie you can sell it and the buyer gets a lifetime warranty too) is cheaper at Scan:

http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/ProductInfo...roductID=344018

and because I joined Hexus net forums I get free shipping from Scan :D

They sold out at scan so i had another quick look on ebuyer and came across this from BFG Tech

http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/in...duct_uid=103597

not OCed as much

Core Clock: 400MHz (vs. 375MHz standard)
Memory Clock: 1250MHz (vs.1200MHz standard)

compared with the XFX one

**GPU over clocked to 440MHZ (vs 375Mhz Standard)**

**Memory over clocked to 1300MHZ (vs 1200Mhz Standard)**
