looks good but what are the online capailities? is it just a 4 player the whole way through without having like an online mode?

8 players max. 4 survivors, 4 boss zombies. Anything up to 8 players works as the extras are filled in by AI bots, and if you wander off for a while mid game it'll automatically take control of your character so your mates aren't inconvenienced.

I must admit, given that it's source based I find the system requirements a bit steep...

I'm intrigued by how the multiplayer version will work in terms of servers. Will a dedi server have multiple 8 player instances or just a single one?

Either way - we will be supporting L4D with a community run server.

It *appears* that Valve have removed the server browser from L4D making it impossible to join a particular server. Instead, players are matched to servers using a Valve algorithm. What a pile of doo doos.

We will monitor this closely but if this is the case then there's absolutely no point in us providing a L4D server.:ranting2:

Or to put it another way, it may be the case that YOU cannot decide which server YOU play on!!!!

So you can't play with specific friends on a specific server?  You just click on the connect button and take random luck as to who you play with and on what server?  Seems like a crazy decision if that's the case.

Valve has just posted a way to play on specific servers. BB (our server guru) is looking into it. We said we'd support L4D and we will as long as we have the option to play on our own servers.
