I would imagine most people are going for the PC version. I know a couple of people on here are console gamers though.

Quote from: OldBloke;249967Valve has just posted a way to play on specific servers. BB (our server guru) is looking into it. We said we'd support L4D and we will as long as we have the option to play on our own servers.

More info to follow.

Those who want to take the plunge and pay for the game ahead of time can expect to fork out $44.99 USD thanks to the ten percent discount, which is about £22.50 GBP. The game is not currently available for pre-load though, so don't expect to be downloading the content or actually playing it just yet.

Left4Dead will be fully released next month on the 18th of November, but players can look forward to a demo beforehand. Valve has got around to giving the demo a firm release date too - Halloween: October 31st.

I just looked at buying this on Steam and the $44.99 is then put up to $52 with tax and at the current exchange rate, that's £35.

You can get it using our affiliate link at Amazon for £19.97, guess where I've ordered it!

I had a read on the Steam forum about this and apparantly you can cancel you pre-order and get a complete refund. However, you need to go through the Steam support page and create a profile etc. I am currently trying this route just to check if it actually works. I will keep you posted.

I've requested cancellation too and will pre-purchase through affiliate (I did it through steam so we could setup and test the server but this allows me to get a refund too)

I just checked and it's still showing £19.97.  Did you change the delivery from the default to Super Saver?

Pre-ordered it using Affiliate link.
Valve game means it goes onto Steam anyway right? so it's just a saving of £15, with no drawn back except the delivery might be late i guess.
