I cannot order from the US site as it only accepts addresses in US, Canada and Mexico. So I order from UK site and select an electronic download instead of getting a boxed DVD shipped to me. Guess what? The download version is an extra £3!!!!!!! like ***!!!!

So that's £104 to ship a boxed CD or £107 to download some electrons :ranting2:

it should of saved you £3+ rather than charge it too you, where's the sence in that, no packaging, DVD, postage costs??!!??

I'm the same, except when the demos are on steam. No installation etc, downloads, and runs. Love steam, hate their prices (not an issue for demos)

Also very hard on expert. Tank + Bloater + Hunter + Horde + Subway = Certain Death

Till the demo expires. That got me at first too. Mines "only" going to take 7.5 hours. Is it just me or has steams download speeds dropped a lot recently. I didn't break 400kb/s with Fallout 3, Far Cry 2 was about the same (for some it went up to 1.6mb/s but didn't stay long), and now Left 4 Dead is between 40 and 100kb/s. I know it's probably in high demand, but if it's like this now, I don't want to see when it's released. (unless the demo is like a pre-load...then it might be just about survivable)

I was just thinking the same about the download speed.  Mine has been between 50 and 80 KB/s and is 15% complete.  I'm looking forward to trying this out.

Will L4D be a game we can host on our own server, with our own admins, own passwords etc that we as dMw members can play together. Or is it going to be a complete random event where we end up? Sounds possibly the dumbest idea ever but several forums (yes I know, never believe an unqualified forum post) seem to suggest that hosting a server in the same way we host COD4, CS:S etc will not be possible?

We already have our own demo server and, if the demand is there, we will run our own L4D server once it is released.
