Well, I'm tempted by this.

Between 15th July and 14st August the pre-order price of Windows 7 will be

Ã,£49.99 for Home Premium
Ã,£99.99 for Professional

Apparently in the UK there is no stand alone upgrade option and so these are full OS installs and available from all the usual retailers as well as M$ direct.

So we'll all go pro and not ultimate then i suppose :D

Might buy two licences providing they are not digital and have physical foil COA's and are not OEM.

Professional will cover most people. Premium will probably even do it.

Windows XP mode is worth having. Same with backup and restore. Ultimate doesn't seem to have anything worth the extra.
