A Question for those that know, are 64 bit version available on pre-order? I'm thinking of upgrading the old box, so if I can grab windows 7 cheap & ready for that it'll inspire me to go spend some cash.

Amazon is now selling the pre-order for cheaper than previously thought

Windows 7 Premium E = Ã,Â£44.97
Windows 7 Pofesional E = Ã,Â£89.97

The 'E' stands for Europe and means there is no enforced browser installation, because of the anti-trust suit.

Well.......

The Amazon page isn't accepting pre-orders any more, it's gone back to "Be notified".

I don't know if this is because they sold out or just tweaking stuff as Amazon like to do.

Pro is still allowing orders, but Premiun isn't.

To be honest I can't see any reason to go Pro.

Except for the fact that Premium isn't allowing pre-order any more.

Order Pro from Amazon and cancel the Play one.

It's a pre-order so cancellable up until the dispatch date.

amazon were playing, Premium is back for pre-order.

I can't see anything in Pro that I'd need, the only limitation thats of any significance for me is the memory and 16gb is fine (20gb for 64bit), I see no reason for 100gb+.

Ok, amazon is still showing as "be notified" play are selling the "retail copy" which must be a non oem for Ã,Â£99.99.

Amazon don't state whether it is/ isn't an oem or retail copy.

I'm after pro too but a decent ultimate price would tempt me.
