She came to one LAN when the twins were a few months' old and has been mentally scarred ever since..... except that is for Jamoe. She, myself and Jamoe had dinner one night and ever since she's always said what a nice guy he was and asks what he's up to. I think Jamoe was engaged then??? But now, of course, has the full wife and kids thing going on (now pushing double figures...... that's how long it was). Really glad he's coming to this LAN.

SWMBO and I have an offset programme. I go to the LANs and separately I send her off for a spa weekend with some of her girl friends. Works well and is a win-win. Plus the weekends she's away means boys' night, crappy food + boys' movies. Yay!

We started it when a friend of mine was getting married in Thailand and I was the Best Man. The kids were young so it was impractical (and potentially dangerous) for us all to go so I gave her three options:

1. I  don't go
2. We both go and leave the children with parents and in-laws
3. I go give her the flight money in spa weekends.

The eyes went kerching and she took the spa weekends. It's been the same ever since. Offset programme...... a blissful solution to marital harmony :)
